Roger Seigler

March 5, 1951 - May 28, 2026

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Roger A. Seigler announces his passing, at the age of 75, on May 28, 2026, at Rome Health Hospital.

Born on March 5, 1951, in Rome, NY, Roger was the cherished son of George and Virginia (Young) Seigler. Roger was a proud graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1970. Following his education, he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment, as a laborer, for Revere Copper & Brass, where he was known for his dedication, dependability and unwavering commitment to his work.

Among the many things Roger valued in life were the friendships and connections he built through the Trenton Fish & Game Club, where he was a dedicated member for many years. The club became a special place for him to relax, enjoy the company of friends and create countless memories filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Roger leaves behind his caring sister, Cheryl; and brother-in-law, John Costello, who remained an important and loving part of his life through the years. He is also survived by his two much-loved aunts, Sandra (Charles) Matthews and Shirley Edick, whose companionship, love and family ties were deeply meaningful to him.

Roger was predeceased by his devoted parents, George and Virginia, who guided, supported and shaped his life with love and care throughout the years. He was also reunited, in peace, with his beloved sister, June Fall, whose memory remained close to his heart.

A private family burial took place at Rome Cemetery, where Roger was peacefully laid to rest in a setting of quiet reflection and love. Surrounded by the presence and support of his closest family, he will be remembered for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind, with his family taking comfort in honoring him in a deeply personal and meaningful farewell.

Arrangements are with Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7551 Merrick Road, Rome.

I can't remember the exact couple of years, but I used to hang out with Roger almost daily. That said, I remember calling him about 10 or 15 years ago and he had no recollection of me at all. - Dennis Parrish

I knew Roger as we both grew up in the same neighborhood. He was a good person who lived a good quiet life. - Leo Angelicola

I actually remember him from his photo.  It’s sad more of us didn’t get to know roger, and not sure if he ever attended any of our reunions.  Roger is at peace now with our Lord, and he will be missed by his family and friends who knew him. - Julian LoRusso

Roger was a great guy. He was a hardcore motorcycle rider when we were in high school.  He even rode during winter. - Daniel Smith
